Bryson City NC, Cherokee NC, and The Great Smokey Mountains

North Carolina is absolutely beautiful. If you ever get a chance to visit, do it.  It's definitely worth the drive.

We stayed in Bryson City, NC which is in the heart of the Great Smokey Mountains, and home to just over 1500 people.  It's a very primitive town. There really isn't a whole lot to do, but look at the beautiful scenery, maybe do some extreme tubing, and mingle with the locals; which by the way, are very friendly. About 20 minutes from Bryson, you will find a small town called Cherokee, which is home to the Historical Cherokee Natives. You will find lots of things to do here. There's a Casino, restaurants, plus many great souvenir shops.

If you really want to find some entertainment, take the 2 hour drive to Gatlinburg, TN. It's a town that's kind of tucked away in the mountains. We passed through here on our way to Knoxville. We didn't get a chance to stop, but I will be definitely going back.

Below I posted some pictures of our tour of Bryson City NC, Cherokee NC, and of course the Great Smokey Mountains.
