Olympic Hockey – Canada’s Upset to the USA.

Well as everyone knows by now, Canada lost to a 5-3 upset to the USA. The adrenaline was pumping, and the morality was high as Canada took to the ice.  With Canada Fans roaring, it was clear they had our total support. I say "our" because , well I'm Canadian. These two teams, stacked with some of the best players from the NHL, were ready to put it all out there for their countries.

The game started off fast with the first goal coming just 41 seconds into the game by the USA, but Canada  did an amazing  job in the first period out shooting the USA 19-6. Ryan Miller, in net for the USA did an outstanding job. Brodeur, on the other hand spent most of the time out of net - which I think hurt us big time.  Even Brodeur admitted he wasn't really on his game last night by saying “I might have let the US team get to me". They probably should of went with Luongo.

Heading into the third Canada was still a goal behind, but they had a good momentum going with more shots on goal than the USA, and the crowd was still definitely behind them 100%. With the game winding down Canada decided to pull their goalie for the extra manpower, but as soon as Brodeur got off the ice, the puck went into the Canadian zone, and the USA had got their fifth and final goal of the night which inevitably ensured Canada’s demise to the USA.
